“I create for the moment. As a father and firefighter... I got into art as a way to deal with the stresses of my profession. I have found that painting has grounded me. I’m trying to combat our consumer culture by reusing items that I find. It’s important for me to use discarded and reclaimed materials. I work with acrylics, mixed media and handmade recycled paper. I’m hoping that my audience can appreciate the depth and simplicity of the emotions I put into my work.”
