Julie Cox was born In St. Augustine and raised primarily in Ft. Pierce, Florida. Her appreciation for painting and art, of all venues, developed in her high school Art Club where her passion and talents for the arts were nurtured. Annual field trips with the Dan McCarty Art Club to Winter Park Art Exhibit, Operetta, County Fairs, attending art galleries, art shows, and sidewalk artist shows spurred her artistic interests.
She is a self-taught artist, although she had some instruction by Famous Artists art classes by mail where she excelled. While an eclectic artist she loves all mediums of expressions. Oils are her preferred medium, but she has recently branched out in Acrylics. Her subjects are eclectic and are often dictated by a spur of the moment decision. Julie encourages every would-be artist to follow their dreams and create with their heart, reach out and create an emotional connection that could touch someone’s heart.
