 Artist Marilyn Terry
Marilyn Terry, an award-winning artist, enjoys photographing unusual and historic locations and later bringing them to life on canvas.
Terry's work includes scenes of the sea, marshes, Florida's state parks and wildlife along the banks of the St. Johns River. Her art also includes scenes which she and her husband, Lindsay, have photographed on their numerous trips to the Caribbean. Terry taught art for 18 years - first grade through grade 12, as well as adult classes. She developed art programs in two major private academies - one in Charlotte, North Carolina and the other in Garland, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. Terry has an associates degree with a proficiency in art from Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, North Carolina, and a bachelors degree from Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She is retired now, but still continues her passion as an artist and painter. She has been a longtime member of the Art Studio. |
