Mary Beth Marczewski Mary Beth Marczewski (pronounced Mar-Chess-Key) started her love of the arts at a very young age. Starting around the age of 7, she would copy many of the Masters from the Encyclopedia- Michaelangelo, Leonardo DaVinci, Monet, Renoir. One Saturday afternoon her mother gathered her sketches and took her to the Maryland Institute College of Art at their Towson location. Mid-term, the Instructor accepted her and for the next 7 years, she would walk every Saturday morning from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm for her Art Classes. Whenever possible, she liked to share her talent, time for others. She volunteered at a local hospital, where she taught arts and crafts to the children in the pediatric ward. Swimming to Special Needs children, and then volunteering at a local Museum in Atlanta, Georgia-The Museum of Touch. She continued her studies at the prestigious Ringling School of Art & Design in Sarasota, Florida. It was a dream come true and she loved every moment surrounded by such talent and equal enthusiasm and passion for the Arts. “Each of my paintings evokes a memory, a place. I let the flow of the paint ‘Speak to me’. I am humbled and grateful as each of my paintings are enjoyed and placed in other people’s homes. I sincerely hope that my paintings give them a sense of joy.” |
