Louise is a self-taught artist whose love for creating began in childhood while growing up in Canada. Her artistic journey took a professional turn at just seventeen, when she became a commercial artist for the Bell Telephone Company in Montreal. It was there that she began to refine her technique and truly discovered that creating art was more than a skill — it was her passion. Over the years, Louise has explored a wide range of mediums including charcoal, pen, oil, acrylic, and watercolor. Her work is deeply expressive, often incorporating hidden hearts that reflect her core belief: that life is all about love. For Louise, art is not only a form of expression but a source of meaning and purpose - a joyful force that fuels her every day. Now living in the creative heart of St. Augustine, Louise has found her artistic home among a vibrant and supportive community of local artists. She is honored to be the featured artist for the month of May at The Art Studio, where her work continues to inspire and connect with others. Surrounded by fellow creatives who have become treasured friends, Louise's passion and dedication to her craft continue to flourish. At the center of Louise's world is her family. Having relocated to St. Augustine together, she shares a close bond with her daughters, son-in-law, and grandchildren. Their time together brings her immense joy, and their closeness is a constant source of inspiration in her work. While her travels have taken her to different parts of the world - having lived in Canada, Belgium, Long Island, Fort Myers, and Orlando - it is in St. Augustine that she has truly found her home. She continues to stay close to the dear friends she has made during her moves and travels, carrying those connections with her as part of her artistic journey.
